The town was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia
Narrative
Solve the mystery of a town in the middle of the US that locks up anyone who enters. As the residents struggle to maintain their sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive against the threats of the surrounding forest.. The site known as Beaver Bank Cottage has a long history and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, fire station, school, church, general store, etc.
When Boyd enters a distant tree, he finds himself at the bottom of a well
(all demolished in 2004) to support workers from the nearby military radar base which operated in the 1950s and 1960s. The paved streets and alleys were all that remained and the fake city was built upon them.. A rope is dropped to him by (presumably) Martin in the room above, despite the fact that his wrists are shackled..
they are definitely very cool
Featured in Half in the Bag: 2022 Mid-Year Catch-Up Part 1 (TV Shows) (2022 ). Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) Written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans, Performed by The Pixies. I’ve loved this show so far and the acting, mysteries, etc.
While "Lost" it was also a fantastic show in terms of acting, directing, etc
However, I’m starting to worry a little that this is going a lot towards "Lost" vibe. At the very end, what annoyed me was how much of the mystery was there just to be mysterious. Watching the second season, I kept feeling a little irritated when another strange mystery was introduced, be it a symbol, item, thing, event…mainly because I can’t stop thinking “Is this going to be relevant in any way in the long run plan?
Which is never mentioned again or explained in any way, ever
Is it just one of those there-is-a-mysterious-nebula-creature or hatch or light etc. Because that kind of mystery writing ends up just pissing me off, because the writer can reach into their behinds and pull out absolutely anything and never come back to it."Okay, then there’s a llama in a red hat who whispers the words "paleontological" and "spatula"!" and that’s all, forgotten a season later, with no explanation, it was just to be weird. I’ll keep watching though, but if this ends one day when it’s just at the level of "it was all in his head!" and there’s no attempt to even tie any topic logic to it all, then rate this review at least 2-3 points lower…
