After the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, makes a play to seize the reins of Gotham’s criminal underworld. From melting makeup to filming in sub-zero temperatures, Colin Farrell and Kristin Miliotti talk about how they got into character during the production of The Penguin. Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of the Penguin to smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but failed. He is impressive

The show is brutal and graphic

There is nothing in the character that even hints at Farrell. The New York accent, the sway and limp, the attitude: you’d swear he was a different person. The amazing prosthetics are very realistic and complement the character. There is nothing cartoonish about it.

It’s a shame

Well written and tight. It makes a great counterpart to Christopher Nolan’s Batman. In fact, I’d say it blows Marvel’s line. I’m hoping this might be a season 2, but I know it’s limited.
